Purposes

The purposes of The Best children's book include:

to explain long deployments to children;
to enable profits to be donated to the Navy SEAL Foundation, to support its impressive programs that serve the Naval Special Warfare community and their families;
to honor military personnel, particularly Special Operators, and their families;
to enable children to learn of, and be genuinely inspired by, real people, including high ranking former military leaders and the fallen, who have lived with deep dedication to:
- serving others and the greatest values of the United States and its Allies;
- performing breath-taking feats of human endurance;
- always striving to achieve at standards of excellence, with an indefatigable spirit and determination to overcome any challenge;
to provide positive messaging to encourage children to spend their time engaged in positive activities while parents are on deployment;
to provide an engaging story to teach children (and adults) of the enormously important work of military personnel, particularly Special Operators, to keep the world safe from the nefarious activities of baddies;
to seed conversations to encourage military personnel to have age-appropriate conversations with their children upon their return from deployment, to support their re-engagement with family;
to teach children and parents the Poem Code used so effectively by Allied Forces during WWII, to encourage them to remain engaged with messages during deployments.
